Lebanese Ministry for Womens’ Affairs and UN Women organizing “Meet the Media” event

Within efforts to mobilize the media to promote gender equality in the political process and in order to encourage women participation in parliamentary elections, UN Women and Ministry of State for Womens’ Affairs are hosting a media meeting on 16th February at 15:00 at the Movenpick hotel in Beirut, to discuss the role of the media in supporting women participation on the upcoming parliamentary elections.

The media session will debate and agree on an action plan that ensures women active role in public administration, identify influencers who are able to initiate change, in addition to motivating the media outlets to advocate for a bigger participation of women candidates and voters.
